Program and Project Management

Advanced commercial control systems software development projects are often complex, multifaceted, and evolving through a constant state of change. Guiding these projects successfully requires solid team management and effective project controls.

One of Genova’s unique strengths is helping manage programs from top to bottom. Our Project and Program Managers are Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Masters and Product Owners, and/or PMP Certified, following Genova quality and CMMI Level 3 processes.

Genova utilizes a proven set of CMMI Level 3 compliant policies, processes, and practices, specifically designed to track and meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements, including:
     • Integrated Project Management Plan
     • Process Framework
     • Contract Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
     • Budget and Cost Management
     • Risk Assessment and Mitigation

Genova has managed projects and programs using the traditional Waterfall, iterative, and Agile Scrum processes. We have also worked with many companies in developing modifications practices to incorporate Agile Scrum processes, while maintaining the rigors of their current quality and management requirements and procedures.

Genova is currently providing Product Owners and Scrum Masters for commercial clients in Agile software development environments. Genova’s Scrum Masters and Product Owners are mentors and active software developers, providing leadership by supporting the rest of the team. Our commitment to effective, streamlined project management offers a cost advantage, while improving communication to stakeholders and the delivery of software applications that are on-time and on-budget.
